Chris Koslowski

Originally from Metro Detroit, Chris Koslowski wandered south via his BA from the University of Michigan and his MA from the University of Cincinnati. His fiction has appeared in Front Porch Journal and Day One. Chris is a recent graduate of the MFA program at the University of South Carolina where he was an editor at Yemassee. He is working on a novel about professional wrestling.

Christiana Louisa Langenberg

Christiana Louisa Langenberg is the author of the bilingual collection of stories Half of What I Know. Her second collection of stories, Here is What You’ll Do, was a finalist in the 2010 Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction. She is the recipient of the Louisville Literary Arts Prose Prize, the Drunken Boat Panliterary Award for Fiction and the Chelsea Award for Short Fiction and a multiple Pushcart Prize nominee. Her essays and stories have been published in Passages North, Huffington Post, Glimmer Train, Dogwood, New South, Lumina, Storyglossia, Drunken Boat, So To Speak, Literary Salt, Carve, Chelsea, Green Mountains Review, American Literary Review, and a variety of literary formats. She teaches in the English Department and Women’s and Gender Studies Program at Iowa State University and writes the blog for http://www.lukesorganic.com/.

Pamela Schmid

Pamela Schmid is the creative nonfiction editor at Sleet, an online magazine, and a 2013-14 Loft Mentor Series winner in nonfiction. She was named runner-up for the Sycamore Review’s 2014 Wabash Prize for Nonfiction and spent more than a decade as a staff writer for the Star Tribune of Minneapolis. Her work has appeared in River Teeth, Tahoma Literary Review, Sliver of Stone, and elsewhere. She holds an MFA degree from Hamline University. You can find more of her work at

Deb Werrlein

Deb is a former adjunct English professor who works as a freelance writer/editor and volunteer literacy tutor. Her writing has appeared in The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Washington Post, Melus, and a variety of other newspapers and academic journals. She is also completing a memoir, Professor Never, about her adventures in academic life and her decision to leave the academy behind. She occasionally goes AWOL. When she does, you can find her out on her bike chasing hopefully after the wind.

Oscar Mancinas is just a young mestizo from around the way. Born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, he currently writes and teaches at Emerson College in Boston.

Zach Mueller

Zach Mueller is a poet from South Carolina currently working on a PhD at the University of Nebraska. He was the 2012 Hub City Writer-in-Residence, has an MFA in poetry from the University of South Carolina, likes pictures, brief questions, and signs high scores as GFK, a tribute to his favorite member of the Wu Tang Clan. His poems have been in Gulf Coast, Prairie Schooner, Rattle, Hobart, Timber, and Heavy Feather Review.

Lawrence Eby

Lawrence Eby is the author of two books of poetry, Flight of August, winner of the 2014 Louise Bogan Award from Trio House Press, and Machinist in the Snow, ELJ Publications 2015. His work can be found in Forklift, Passages North, Fourteen Hills, Superstition Review, and others. He is the editor in chief of Orange Monkey Publishing, a poetry
