Meet the Judges for Our Contest 2013!

We are so excited to announce our judges for this year’s contest in Fiction and Poetry!

Judging fiction is Sherman Alexie! Sherman Alexie has been awarded many honors, such as a PEN/Faulkner Award for War Dances, a National Book Award for The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Native Writers’ Circle of the Americas.  He’s published twenty books.  His most recent, Blasphemy, is a collection of short stories.  For more about Sherman Alexie, please check out our Interview with him from Issue 26.

Judging poetry will be Michael Dickman! Michael Dickman was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He is the author of “The End of The West”, and “Flies”, both published by Copper Canyon Press. He is also the co-author, with his brother Matthew Dickman, of a book of plays called “50 American Plays”. He lives in New Jersey and teaches at Princeton University.
